Roadside assistance

Updated: Aug 4, 2020

What Is Roadside Assistance?

Roadside assistance can help drivers when vehicles break down. This option can exist on many different insurance policies but can also be offered by different companies that employ a team to arrange service to the customer. Roadside assistance can include towing, flat tyre service, lockout service, battery service, and fuel delivery.

Towing is provided when roadside assistance can’t make the vehicle drive-able again safely. Usually the vehicle is towed a limited number of miles to the nearest service shop. Battery jump-start service can be useful if the battery dies and you are stranded somewhere. Flat tyres can happen at any time and, although you may know how to change one on your own, roadside assistance can help replace the flat with the spare for your vehicle. Fuel delivery service can be provided to those who run out of gas when driving. Roadside assistance can be beneficial depending on the age of your vehicle and the distance of your commute.
